The witness Movement organises the Church for Evangelism in fulfilment of the commandment of our Lord in Matthew 28:16-20

Matth 28: 16Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

The natural response of our salvation is to tell others about the new friendship we have with God through Jesus.

Is Jesus your Lord and personal saviour?

Humanbeing cannot save themselves

The Bible says all have sined and fall short of the glory of God Roman 3:23. Man chose to disobey God who made him and includind all the things we see around and use daily in our lives. The natural consequence of this disobedience is eternal separation from God and eternal death.

Over the years, we have seen the fruit of this sinful nature of man in all wickedness, selfishness, seeking of vain glory, ungratefulness, immorality, sicknesses etc. The result of the disobedience to God is total lost of happiness and purpose of life. Many are looking for happiness through amassing wealth, divorcing, holydays etc but all these only provide temporal happiness.

In some cases, there are many who indulge in many kinds of good works to satisfy themselve with a sense of goodness. But the stadard with which God has created, there is no good we can ever do to meet the requirement of satisfaction our souls are seeking. In Isaiah 64:6, the Bible says all our self acts of righteousness are like filthy rags before God.

God's solution through Jesus

Man by his own effort, could not meet the requirement of his soul just like a new born baby cannot do anything without the help of the parents. God did not leave man to make that fruitless effort of seeking Him forever. He has rather come unto us though His son Jesus to connect us back to Himself so that we can find the real purpose of life which brings eternal joy to our souls.

Jon 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Your responsilbity in receiving the gift of salvation

The only responsibility you have to receive all this important gift of salvation is to come to the acknowledgement that you cannot save yourself through any effort of yours and to accept Jesus as Lord and personal savior. Note that, Jesus is not an alternative way to this salvation; He is the only way

John 14: 6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me

The destiny of all human beings is based on the decision they make about Jesus - that is either to accept or reject the gift of salvation. As you read this article, Jesus is at the door of your heart and he is knocking Rev 3:20. He wants to come in and dine with you.

The bible says " Rom 10:9-10 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

If you want to accept Jesus in your heart today, you could pray a prayer like this

Lord Jesus, I accept I am sinner looking upto myself instead of looking to you. I have lived all my live being lord of my own live but today, I have come to realise that I need I a saviour. I believed you came to die for me to save me from my sins. I am today accepting you as my Lord and personal saviour. Come and live in me and direct my life. Amen!
